The Silicone Prosthetics course is a comprehensive, hands-on program focused on teaching professional silicone prosthetic fabrication techniques used in film and television. Students learn the complete workflow, including character and prosthetic design, advanced sculpting techniques, mold making, silicone casting, encapsulation methods, seam blending, and realistic coloring and finishing. Taught in a professional studio environment with industry-standard materials and tools provided, this course is designed for artists looking to develop high-end, production-ready silicone prosthetics with an emphasis on realism, durability, and on-set application.
8 Tuesday Night Classes (Weekly) | 7PM–10PM
What you will learn:
- Sculpting realistic creature and character pieces
- Creating resin molds for silicone
- Silicone mixing, coloring & thickening technique
-Silicone encapsulation and “gel filled” appliances
- Pouring and de-molding silicone pieces
- Painting and finishing silicone effects
All materials provided. No experience required.
All sculpting products, materials, tools, and supplies are fully provided by the instructor for the duration of the class. Students do not need to bring anything with them, and no prior sculpting or special effects experience is required.
