FX Artist & Founder — Dallas Harvey
Dallas Harvey is a professional special effects a artist, designer, and educator with over 15 years of industry experience working across film, television, and music video productions. His work spans practical makeup effects, creature and character design, prosthetics, mold making and digital sculpting, and has been featured in international publications including Make-Up Artist Magazine.
Dallas has served as a published author for Makeup Artist Magazine, IMATS museum curator, curriculum designer at Blanche MacDonald Centre, and LEO award-nominated FX artist, bringing a rare combination of hands-on craftsmanship, technical expertise, and production leadership to every project.
As the founder of Vancouver FX, he oversees creative direction while remaining actively involved in design, fabrication, on-set special effects and visual effects supervision. View IMDB

On-Set Services (Canada, USA & International)
Vancouver FX provides professional on-set special effects support for productions requiring hands-on execution, application, and supervision of FX work. While we are based in Vancouver, we frequently travel across Canada and internationally to support shoots that require our expertise on location.
From prosthetic application and continuity maintenance to live effects, repairs, and problem-solving under production conditions, we work closely with directors, performers, and crew to ensure effects perform reliably and safely throughout the shoot.
Our on-set presence helps streamline production, maintain realism, and deliver consistent results from the first take to the last.
